What does it take to become a successful CNA in the healthcare field? For starters, Dedication and Heart as a Caregiver is the starting point to any Nursing Career. Regardless as to where you choose to work whether at a hospital, nursing home, or in-home care as a primary career, it takes a very special person and a big responsibility to care for patients' that can no longer do things for themselves anymore.

It is very vital that you view your own feelings towards working with the sick and elderly, as they will be the biggest population of patients. If you have any negative feelings it may have effect on those under your care. As a CNA, it is very important to understand that you must contain compassion, kindness, caring and respect It is a good idea to analyze and connect your feelings about these patients before taking a career move towards working as a CNA.

CNAs' are the eyes and ears of the floor and spend most the time on the floor tending and caring for the patients. And regardless as to what health care setting you work in, working closely with the patients, they do depend on you to be there for them. As well as the RN's and LPN's who rely on you to keep them informed of any problems and changes that may be going on with the patients.

We are the heart of the Nursing Staff and hold ground of cable that connect the communication and dedication on working as a team to make sure our patients' are safe and taken care of as they would of us if we were their children. They rely on us to be there and help them through their day, to ensure they are clean, dressed, and feed. And the RN's and LPN's rely on you as well to ensure that they know every issue, matter, or problems patient's may face through-out the day.

Regardless where you work in the medical profession dedication and responsibility to work hard even when you feel it is not your place, come in on call offs, and always remember it takes a lot of heart to do the jobs we perform. And the people who rely on us most are our patients' who look forward to seeing us everyday.
